in 2022 we supported over 80 care homes and are looking for volunteers to drop presents off to local care homes this christmas.
Usually we encourage volunteers to spend time with residents inside the homes but with Covid restrictions it is likely most care homes will ask volunteers to wear a face covering and drop gifts outside the care homes while maintaining a 2m distance. Where care homes are open to visitors it is entirely up to volunteers to do what they would feel most comfortable with. We’ll provide details of your assigned care home so you’re able to arrange a time and day to drop gifts to them that suits you and discuss the Covid restrictions.
We’re running gift collections 12.30pm on the 9th and 10th December at the Small Acts of Kindness HQ (Unit 1 Orient Centre, Greycaine Road, WD24 7GP). Where possible would appreciate volunteers collecting gifts for their assigned homes during this time. Of course if you’re unable to attend we would still love your help and will make alternate arrangements.
